Dear Senior Member
Your committee are excited about the start of a new term, as I am sure you are, as we all begin to see some normality starting to return to the club.
The Seniors Committee are working hard behind the scenes, planning competitions, matches and other events that we hope many of you will participate in.
One of the most important events at the start of the new term is our AGM which is to be held on Monday 7th September in the club house at the new time of 6pm which will enable our working members to attend.
The committee have spent a lot of time listening to your views and trying to make improvements to the way our AGM is conducted. It would be a big encouragement to us if you could make an extra effort to attend this year.
We obviously have safety at the forefront of our mind in organizing this event and to ensure that we are able to set out the room in a safe layout, observing social distancing. To help us plan, we would like to formally invite you to the meeting.
Please can you indicate if you intend to attend the meeting by using the “Yes I will be attending” or “No I am unable to attend” buttons on the email that you received this letter from. Please send your responses as soon as possible but no later than Sunday 31st August.
Obviously at the meeting, you are free to take whatever personal precautions you wish, such as wearing a face covering.
I am really keen to welcome some more fresh faces on to the committee so please do consider nominating someone that you think would be able to contribute to the running of the Section. Your nomination will need to be seconded by another member and the person you are nominating will need to agree to stand for election by signing the nomination form.
If you wish to stand for election to the Seniors Committee or nominate another person to stand please complete nomination forms and hand in to the office by 17th August
The nomination forms can be found on the Seniors Notice Board in the gentlemen’s locker room.
If you are unable to attend the AGM, please exercise your right to vote by completing a postal voting form. Postal voting forms will be available on the Seniors Noticeboard from 24th August and must be returned to the office by 5th September.
