Knighton Heath Golf Club is always delighted to showcase its outstanding course and offers golfers of all abilities the opportunity to play here in a series of Open competitions which are held throughout the year.

We hold Opens each year for all sections of the club and include Mixed Open. In addition, the ladies also run at least one Open Bowmaker featuring teams of three, and host a Coffee Morning towards the end of the season.

With the exception of the Junior event, which is a medal for individual players, the competitions are aimed at pairs or teams.

The club also organises a prestigious competition known as the Knighton Heath Knock-Out Trophy which is keenly contested annually by seniors from a number of clubs in Dorset.PICT0321 (Custom)

Men

The normal calendar has a monthly medal and/or stableford competition. These competitions are generally held on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with each competition being run as an individual event.

Trophy competitions are currently held at weekends.

Ladies

The majority of this section meet regularly on a Tuesday morning and normally sees some form of competition for the members. Subject to other bookings time normally exists for social golf after the competitions.

Our ‘alternate day’ ladies who are unable to play on a Tuesday have an opportunity to play competitions, or social golf, with other ‘working’ ladies at weekends.

Whilst the majority of club trophy competitions are held either on a Tuesday some are held at the weekend.

 

Seniors

This section is by far the biggest section within the club and they would meet regularly on a Monday morning. This is generally the time they play their internal competitions whilst inter-club matches are normally played on another weekday.
