Your Free Club Diary for 2017 is now available from the bar staff.
However, the new free high quality 7 day view, pocket diary is limited to one per member.
The Bar staff will require your bar card to record receipt of your diary.
Club Bye Law - Saturday and Sunday Competitions (Medals / Stablefords)
Members may only enter either the Saturday or the Sunday in advance of the competition.
If spaces are available in the Sunday competition, after playing on Saturday, members may then enter the Sunday competition.
If you are entered in the Sunday competition and on Saturday morning spaces are available, you may then enter for that Saturday.
Race to Dubai
Last month our Seniors Vice Captain, Maurice Randall, was part of the marshalling team at the Race to Dubai European Tour golf tournament.
Maurice explained that after reporting for duty on the day at the Marshall’s pavilion, marshals are assigned in groups of 4 for most games, 8 for the top players where crowds are largest.
You then join the pros on the 1st tee and escort them around the full 18 holes controlling crowd noise, movement and phototaking.
Maurice was fortunate that on the four days of the tournament he was assigned to among others Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, Tyrell Hatton and Chris Wood. Maurice said that the whole experience of being so close to these players as they prepare for and play their shots is really impressive for anyone who plays golf at a club level.
The winner of the tournament was 22 yr old Matthew Fitzpatrick from Sheffield. Winner of the season long Race to Dubai was Henrik Stenson.
Clubhouse Refurbishment - Phase 1 of the refurbishment project is nearing completion. Members are reminded that all equipment etc must be removed from the lockers by Saturday 31 December 2016. For more information please click HERE.

CLOTHING RECYCLING BINS
Two bins have been acquired from the Salvation Army for the recycling of old clothing. The bins have been placed in the buggy cage (where the club buggies are stored) and can be accessed during normal Pro Shop opening hours.
All proceeds derived from this project will accrue to the golf club.
