Local Rules

 

  1. Out of Bounds

A ball is out of bounds if it lies wholly on the boundary of the Course marked by the course out of bounds markings (white lines, boundary posts or as stipulated in the local rules). The Clubhouse area including car parks, putting green and chipping green, practice nets, garden, greenkeepers’ area between 7th tee and 10th green and the bridleway to the left of the white posts in front of the third tee are not part of the Course and are out of bounds.

 
   
  1. Abnormal Course Conditions & Integral Objects. (Rule 16)
    1. Pylons,
    2. Water Value Covers/ sprinkler heads
    3. Protective fence to the left of the 15th Tee box
    4. All yardage Markers
    5. All defined Man-made paths.
    6. The ditches and mounds running parallel to the road at the 18th hole and around the overflow carpark.
    7. Aeration holes and machinery ruts.
    8. Relief must be taken from all areas marked as G.U.R by way of signage or appropriate marking.
    9. Staked Trees
  1. Ball Deflected by Power Line(Rule 16.1)

If it is known or virtually certain that a player's ball hit a power line the stroke does not count.
The player must play a ball without penalty from where their previous stroke was made (see Rule 14.6 for what to do).

  1. Relief from Tree Roots in the Fairway

If a player’s ball is in the general area and there is interference from exposed tree roots that are in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less or in the rough within four club-lengths of the edge of the ground cut to fairway height or less or in the first cut of the rough, the tree roots are treated as ground under repair.

The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b. But interference does not exist if the tree roots only interfere with the player’s stance.
