USE OF A BUGGY IN COMPETITIONS
At a recent Captains Committee meeting, it was agreed that to comply with EGU rules, members would be required to provide the club with a medical certificate allowing them to use a buggy during club qualifying competitions.
Members with medical certificates are required to renew by 30 June 2017.

It is a condition of any competition organised by the EGU that players must walk at all times during a stipulated round, unless permitted to use a golf buggy. A golf buggy may be used by a player who can provide a valid current medical certificate of disability and has requested permission to use a golf buggy by the closing date for any competition they seek to enter. Where the disability prevents the player from driving the buggy, he/she may nominate a third party to drive the buggy

GOLF ETIQUETTE
Must be observed and particular attention is drawn to:
- the repairing of pitch marks,
- raking marks made in bunkers
- replacing divots (in the rough and on the fairways)
- allowing following matches or groups to play through when searching for lost balls
- pace of play: It is a group's responsibility to keep up with the group in front. If it loses a clear hole and it is delaying the group behind, it should invite the group behind to play through, irrespective of the number of players in that group
- priority on the course: unless otherwise determined by the Committee, priority on the course is determined by a group's pace of play. Any group playing a whole round is entitled to pass a group playing a shorter round. The term 'group' includes a single player
