The Winter 4BBB KO Final is: Trevor Townsend/Simon Bellamy vs Gary Russell/Simon Coleman

Yesterday afternoon Trevor contacted me about whether the Winter 4BBB KO Final was still on given the course conditions and forecast.

I informed him that it wasn't me decision, but as no one else was available I would contact the Captain. Colin kindly advised me that he was happy for the Final to be postponed if there was agreement between players.

I contacted Gary and they were not so happy because they had been asked to play their Semi-Final match on 18 temporary greens and conditions would likely be the same next weekend. Trevor and Simon are not able to play next weekend so we all agreed everyone would meet this morning, check the course conditions and go from there.

Today, with 5mm of rain overnight the course was on 18 temporary greens and carry bags only. Neither side were too happy about playing, however with Trevor/Simon unavailable next weekend and Gary/Simon unavailable the weekend after and Medals on the weekend after that, today would be the only day this month, so I advised them to play.

They played today until heavy rain forced them to come in after 6 holes. I advised them play can continue on a different date, as long as play continues from the same point where it discontinued and at the same score. 

Both teams have agreed to continue play on Good Friday 10th April at 15:00. Please can this be added to the website so that other players are aware.
